Dear Parents

SPECIAL COVID-19 CIRCULAR 6 OF 2020: FINALLY BACK TO SCHOOL!

Since that the Department of Education having given special permission for the acceleration of the return of all pupils, I would like to give the following arrangements:

  1. Parents must bear in mind that the best way of teaching is still the direct contact between teacher and pupil. Social interaction is also of utmost importance for children. I realize that many of your fears regarding your child’s safety and the possibility of being able to contract the virus. We, at Huttenpark, are doing everything in our ability to ensure your child’s safety and I encourage you to send your child back to school with piece of mind.
  2. Orientation Days :

2.1 We are going to gradually make the pupils accustomed to the new arrangements at school and therefore plan orientation days. These days will enable us to introduce the Covid-19 procedures to the pupils. They will only come to school on the orientation day, thereafter full time formally on the dates as stipulated according to our plan.

2.2      For us to implement social distancing and being able to implement the departmental policy that we may not have more than 50% of the learners at school at any time, classes will return to school in smaller groups. Boys will be in one group and the girls of every class in another group.
