Hippo and Goose Family Festival 2017.
It is with great excitement that we are proud to announce that our Annual Huttenpark Carnival has had a facelift and that we have decided to move it to the Grey Goose Farm Lodge. It will have a new name: “The Hippo and Goose Family Festival”
We believe moving this festival to a bigger venue will allow us to make this a bigger community event and we hope to have all the support that we have had in the past.
The Festival will take place on the 21 October 2017. It will start at 9:00 and we will be busy until 19:00.
We have a full stage program that includes local singers and bands and we will end off with “Fatman” from The Voice SA. This will be the ideal way to end off the day.
We will have our traditional Flea Market and some very exciting exhibitions on show during the day. Please contact Mrs De Jager at school if you are interested in a stall or would like to show off your business on the day.
For the learners, we have our ever popular Giant Inflatables. Learners have received their forms and can ‘pay off’ the inflatables ticket with their class teachers. This will be an amount of R100 and they will be allowed to go on all the inflatables during the day. Please take note that there will be water slides on the day so pack in an extra set of dry clothes.
At the end of the day the learners and adventurous parents will be allowed to enjoy the exciting Colour Fest in the arena. Learners can order the colour powder from their class teacher at R6 a packet. All orders will be sent to the register classes on the Friday before the festival. There will be limited stock available for sale on the day of the festival.
With the full entertainment programme, parents will be allowed to enjoy themselves in the beer tent, looking out over the stage area.
For the fitness fanatics we will be hosting a Mountain Bike Challenge and a Trail Run in the morning.
Then there is our famous Hippo-Run where we give away a R10 000 cash prize on the day. Learners will receive 1 book per family this year and we ask all families to please support this project.
Due to the high quality of our performers this year we have to charge an entrance fee of R30 per person.
As always, we will be asking parents to support us in this endeavour. Not only on the day but also to promote it as much as you can. Please help us share the information with your friends and family. Look out for the advertisement on Facebook and share it among your friends.
